The weekend.

The temperatures were lovely this weekend. They were tempting enough to pull out the sidewalk chalk  and repair bicycle tires.  (Today, the heater is back on and the high is 35.) It was great while it lasted. 🙂

Nuestros cumpleaños de amiga.

Last September, Azucena, an exchange teacher from Spain moved to MC to teach Spanish at our high school. She also started taking pilates classes, which gave me an opportunity to get to know her. She also started giving the Hannah and Luke Spanish lessons.  They started in January. They have loved it. We all love Azucena (pronounced athu-thena in Spanish.) Azucena had a birthday last week, she asked us over to celebrate. She fixed some amazing food. Quiches, Russian salad, the best hummus I have ever eaten…  For her cake, she made a tarta. It was filled with spices, apples and raisins.
