Just last year around this time our friends Suzanne and Chris were in Haiti bringing home their daughters, Lovely and Rosalynda. After 2 years of waiting for the girls, they were picking them up. I just keep thinking of the miracle that they are here safe with Chris and Suzanne and still not in Haiti today.
I’m praying for more miracles to happen for Haitians today after the 7.0 earthquake hit January 12.
Through Suzanne’s blog is a link to a family in Haiti with information. Ways to help.
Thanks for posting Regi!
We have been so absorbed in the news coming out of Haiti. I had been thinking about how I was in Haiti a year ago right now. I was staying in the Hotel Karibe that they say has been severly damaged, trapping people inside. All of us stayed in the Hotel Montana on July 3, 2007, which is now destroyed. And we stood in the Carribean Market (a grocery store) on that date as well, it is now flatened.
In December 2008, the girls and I ate supper and enjoyed a wonderful dance performance at St. Joseph’s Home for Boys…..It no longer stands.
I have not been able to put my thoughts into clear words. In the words of someone actually on the ground there, “It all seems so fake”. (It must be the shock) But when I first heard about the Hotel Montana, my breath caught in my throat, and I started to shake, and it begin to be so much more real.
Another person who had been there on a mission team talked about how the way he feels about Haiti can not be put into words, and cannot be understood unless you have been there……I feel that exact same way. I love Haiti. I love the people of Haiti. My heart breaks for them.

p.s. I think I will repost this to my blog………
I thought of Suzanne and the girls–I am so grateful they are here with them!! As long as the process is taking it could’ve easily been them still being there. I’ve been praying.
What is Suzanne’s blog?
